Message	Time, and money... I started with no mechanical skills 12 or thirteen years ago, but I had time and money. My starting position was : I am going to start spending money on tools instead of giving it to the dealer and see what happens. It is expensive but you learn all about the car over time, and you accumulate the necessary tools as well. I think of the expense as tuition personally. Hope this helps
